Workshop «Improvisation in performance»
from 29 April to 9 May 2008 in Iguana Dance studio (Moika 104)

When we create a performance, how much of it is improvisation?
When we improvise, to what extent are we interested in fixed ideas?
To what extent can we relate to them? Composition, communication and performing are the subjects of our workshop. We will be working with the participants? movement vocabulary in order to articulate and enrich
them.
We will be experimenting with basic things to create compositions by using space, time, perception and interaction.

This, that and the other, a contact-improvisation workshop.
from 1 to 5 May in Iguana Dance studio (Moika 104)

A contactdance: people meet and share their space, weight, momentum, shape and breath. They also share other bits of themselves: their stories and humor, their ideas and imagination, their limits.
They sense, smell, hear and see. They connect.
In this workshop we?ll enter contact improvisation from different angles: by working solo and with partners, in duets and groups, by practicing skills and trying out improvisational states.
All this will aim to opening in ourselves as many doors as possible, to find the richness of dance within ourselves and with others.
